10th Grade Math Teacher Position Description (algebra ii)

Summary This position would entail teaching a math class to our 10th grade students for three 50-minute periods a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). The curriculum (Algebra II by Foerster) and pacing are set by the school, and basic blueprints are provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Upper School (Logic & Rhetoric) faculty/staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested.

Salary $3,287 over 10 months.
Benefits Since this is a part-time position, benefits such as health insurance or a retirement savings plan are not provided by the school.
Start date Classes begin August 25, 2025. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 5th and 7th.
Required qualifications Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
Additional desirable qualifications Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
