After homeschooling for a number of years and then writing the book, Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum, Laura M. Berquist founded Mother of Divine Grace School. It was the positive response to her book that convinced Mrs. Berquist that there were many other mothers, like herself, who wanted to provide a Classical Christian (Catholic) education for their children. Mother of Divine Grace School is an accredited distance learning school now serving more than 6,300 students offering various levels of programs for students and teachers, summer classes for students and parents, and workshops for parents throughout the year. Mrs. Berquist is blessed with six children and 16 grandchildren.The Community Event will be held at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church* beginning at 7pm.

Valley Classical School is hosting its first 5K race and fun run! We’ve named it Torrent Trot and this year’s race theme is Tie-Dye…if you have a tie-dye shirt we’d love to see it on the course. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 24th at 8:00am!

The race will start and finish at Hethwood Market with the course being out and back. There will be plenty of parking near the start/finish area thanks to Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren. Run About Sports will be there covering timing and providing their expertise. We hope you and your children can join for the 5K race and the {shorter & FREE} Fun Run.

Join us for an evening with speaker, CEO, and father Jonathan Brush!

Jonathan Brush, CEO of Unbound, is coming to speak on "Rebuilding Western Civilization: A Call to a Bigger Vision": What if homeschooling and the homeschool movement was about more than education? What if it was the training corps for the special forces whose mission is to take and hold the cultural anchors of our civilization? What if your local church was more than a building to worship in once a week – rather it was the headquarters for an army whose mission was to rebuild a civilization? What if we understood that this army doesn’t build walls and fortifications to keep the barbarians out, but it builds homes and communities that lower the bridge, open the gates, and invites those outside in, to a better world? This session will challenge you to think big, think long, and join the mission.
