11th-Grade Math Teacher Position Description (Precalculus and Trigonometry)
Summary | This course uses the classic textbook by Paul Foerster, Precalculus with Trigonometry: Concepts and Applications. It delves deeper into topics that students explored in Algebra 2: polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, rational, and irrational functions, as well as conic sections and complex numbers. It also includes a thorough study of trigonometric functions and an introduction to sequences and series. Foerster’s books emphasize teaching students how to apply functions to solving real-world problems. This class will meet for a total of 2 hours per week, spread out over either 2 or 3 days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. |
