3rd grade Teacher Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    The 3rd Grade Teacher role at Valley Classical School requires the individual to teach on campus, prepare lesson plans and upload them to the school’s lesson plan website, record grades, maintain orderly documentation for their class, and interact with students' parents as needed (e.g., answering questions, clarifying assignments, and two parent-teacher conferences each year). The individual will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops, promotes, and fosters an understanding of academic subjects. Subjects include Bible, Mathematics, Spelling, Grammar, Composition, Reading, History, Science, Poetry Memorization, and an introduction to Latin basics. This position requires two full campus days (Mondays and Wednesdays), as well as any time needed to prepare weekly lesson plans and campus materials.

                    Classes begin August 25, 2025. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 5th and 7th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education

                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
