5th grade Latin Teacher Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    This position would entail teaching 5th grade Latin, meeting for three 50-minute periods a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). The curriculum (Kraken Latin by Canon Press) and pacing are set by the school, and basic blueprints are provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Logic School staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested. 

 Upper school (grades 5th through 12th) classes may be combined to form a more substantial teaching load.

                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 26, 2024. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 6th and 9th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
                
                    Additional desirable qualifications
                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
