overview

Pre-application

All families must attend an Information Meeting and read through all informational materials provided by the school.

At the meeting you will have the chance to hear from and talk with VCS leaders, browse curriculum, meet other interested families, and ask any questions you may have.

Upcoming Information Meetings may be found on our Events page.

VCS Events

VCS also offers optional School Tours for interested Lower School families and Upper School Shadow Days.

Application

One application must be completed for each student seeking admission to VCS. Some sections will save across student applications; many family-related sections will be completed only once.

Applications include:

  • A church reference* contact from a leader at a church where the family attends and is a member is required.

  • For each student:

    • An academic reference contact* (1st and up)

    • An academic assessment (Kinder and up)

    • A Latin assessment (5th and up)

Additionally, an admissions fee of $150 per family will be charged (whether you are applying for 1 student or 5).

*Valley Classical School will contact these individuals as part of the admissions process.

Interview & Enrollment

If your completed application suggests a good fit with VCS, you will be invited for a family interview. Family Interviews include all parents, the child(ren) applying to enroll in VCS, and 2 to 3 members of the Admissions Committee. We’ll have a few questions for both the parents and children. The interview is not a test. It is an opportunity for VCS to meet your family, review the distinctive aspects of our school, and understand your family’s needs.

An invitation to enroll will then be extended, subject to a review of all applications and interviews. To enroll, families will pay an enrollment fee to secure a spot at VCS. The fee is non-refundable.
