afternoon Campus Aide Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    The role of Afternoon Campus Aide is to facilitate afternoon campus operations guided by the mission and values of Valley Classical School. Daily tasks may include (but are not limited to) preparing crafts, providing support in grade level classrooms and in auxiliary classes (such as choir and P.E.), overseeing lunchtime operations, performing routine cleaning and general facility maintenance, providing support to the front office, assisting with supply inventory and control, and providing support during students’ arrival and dismissal. The expected hours for this position are Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30am-4:00pm.

                    $4,610 over 10 months

                    Since this is a part-time position, benefits such as health insurance or a retirement savings plan are not provided by the school.
                
                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 26, 2024. Training for incoming staff members will take place between August 6th and 9th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Must be 16 years of age or older and in agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith. Must also be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs, to engage in activities with children on the floor/ground, and to stoop and bend.
                
                    Additional desirable qualifications
                    Able to read aloud to children; able to be proactive about classroom or campus needs once understanding of school day has been established.
