Logic school Beginning Latin Teacher Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    This position would entail teaching beginner level Latin, each class meeting for three 50-minute periods a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). The class consists mostly of 5th and 6th grade students. The curriculum (Kraken Latin by Canon Press) and pacing are set by the school, and a basic blueprint is provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Logic School faculty/staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested.

                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 25, 2025. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 5th and 7th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education

                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
