Rhetoric School Science Teacher Position Description (Human Anatomy and Physiology)

Summary In this course, students will explore the form and function of all the major human body systems. The course will include discussions of historical paths of discovery in the sciences of anatomy and medicine, as well as philosophical/theological discussions about the responsible stewardship of the human body. Students will also participate in dissection of some mammal specimens (such as fetal pigs).The classroom will include a mixture of students from 9th to 11th grades.

Salary $3,071 over 10 months

Start date Classes begin August 26, 2024. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 6th and 9th.
Required qualifications Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
Additional desirable qualifications Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
