11th grade economics Teacher Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    This position would entail teaching a high school level economics class to our 11th Grade students for two 50-minute periods a week (Mondays & Tuesdays). The curriculum and pacing are set by the school, and a basic syllabus for the class will be provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class planning & preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Upper School (Logic & Rhetoric) faculty/staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested.

                    $2,138 over 10 months

                    Since this is a part-time position, benefits such as health insurance or a retirement savings plan are not provided by the school.
                
                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 24, 2026. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 4th and 6th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
                
                    Additional desirable qualifications
                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
