6th grade Science Teacher Position Description

        
                    Summary
                    This position would entail teaching Science class to our 6th Grade students for three 50-minute periods a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). This course focuses on Ecology and Astronomy. The curriculum and pacing are set by the school, and basic blueprints are provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Logic School faculty/staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested.

                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 24, 2026. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 4th and 6th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
                
                    Additional desirable qualifications
                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
