9th grade math Teacher Position Description (Geometry)

        
                    Summary
                    This position would entail teaching a high school level geometry class to our 9th Grade students for three 50-minute periods a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). The curriculum and pacing are set by the school, and a basic syllabus for the class will be provided. Additional responsibilities would include any necessary class planning & preparation, writing and posting weekly lesson plans, grading, attending Upper School (Logic & Rhetoric) faculty/staff meetings or events, and helping out with any other tasks as requested.

                    Start date
                    Classes begin August 24, 2026. Training for incoming teachers will take place between August 4th and 6th.
                
                    Required qualifications
                    Bachelor's degree; agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the classical model of education
                
                    Additional desirable qualifications
                    Teaching experience at a classical school; Teaching certification; advanced degree
